One thing we can all agree about hosting providers is that there are a lot of them, really a lot. Which is not bad, however, there are so many acronyms and terms used that it's quite confusing. I'm sure you know what I mean; VPS, AWS, managed WordPress hosting, shared hosting, dedicated hosting, cloud hosting, cloud service provider, cloud platform, etc.
I periodically check them out as I try to stay updated and follow what's going on in this industry, and there are many decent hosting providers that will mostly meet any requirement you may have. Let's talk about some important requirements when choosing a hosting company.
One such requirement is the ability to host a WordPress website. There are many options for us. Many companies offer managed WordPress hosting, meaning that they will keep everything up to date for and on top of that they offer some WordPress-specific features, which is a great option if you don't want to spend time doing it all on your own.
Some other requirements to consider:
- affordable prices
- easy to use interface
- fast and secure servers
- server backup options
- helpful customer support
- etc.
We can add more requirements, however, these criteria are not that hard to meet. Most providers will offer you all or most og those features. A big issue with gambling related websites is that a lot of hosting providers do not allow hosting websites of this industry.
That's why I decided to recommend some options that I'm familiar with. They meet all the criteria mentioned above and allow gambling related websites. I've chosen hosting providers for 3 different cases:
- Kinsta Cloud Hosting - excellent all-inclusive service with relatively high price
- Linode VPS - great host-it-yourself option that's as cheap as it gets
- Other options - something in the middle
Kinsta Cloud Hosting
"Kinsta is a Cloud Platform designed to help companies and dev teams ship and manage their web projects faster and more efficiently." - that's what it says on their website and that's true. But let me add some more details about Kinsta.
They offer truly managed WordPress hosting services with 24/7/365 live support with average response time under 2 minutes. All Kinsta WP packages include fast and secure infrastructure, worldwide CDN, edge caching, 35 data centers, and more enterprise-level features. Experts will help you migrate your existing WordPress website with no additional cost.
That's not all, any plan you choose also includes top security features such as enterprise-level firewall DDoS protection, SSL management, HTTP/3 support, site backups, uptime checks and more.
One of my favorite features is that you can set up staging and even local dev environments very easily, making implementing new features and updating custom themes and plugins very easy. Another cool feature is that with Kinsta you don't need a caching plugin, they handle it for you, and also they offer geo-caching.
There are many different plans for you choose based on your business requirements, and the Starter plan costs $24 per month paid annually.
You can easily upgrade or downgrade your plan any time you need, and Kinsta offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.
For whom is Kinsta Cloud Hosting recommended?
Anyone who can afford it. If you value your time and money, if you want to have fast and secure websites, and manage them effectively and with peace of mind, you should choose Kinsta.
For whom is Kinsta Cloud Hosting not recommended?
If you're just starting out you and don't enough budget, you may want to look at something different, something more affordable.
Linode VPS
Linode doesn't offer any WordPress-specific features at all, like Kinsta does. Instead, they offer affordable and very reliable Virtual Private Servers (VPS). If you're comfortable setting up your own servers, managing them on your own and keeping them updated, this might be the best option for you.
They do offer one-click install apps for dozens of services including WordPress, and they have very fast and helpful support as well.
There are a lot of different plans, and you can choose the one that fits your needs. The cheapest option costs $5 and you can host more than one WP website on it.
Linode is my go-to hosting provider, and I've been hosting a lot of websites on Linode for years now, and I've never had any issues.
For whom is Linode VPS recommended?
You should choose Linode if you're comfortable using the command line interface and have enough knowledge to set up and manage the entire infrastructure on your own, and, on the other hand, if you want to have control over anything.
For whom is Linode VPS not recommended?
If you don't have enough time to manage your own servers.
If you sign up using the link below, you'll receive a $100, 60-day credit
. You can use this to pay for the plans or any additional services you may want to purchase.
Other Options
If none of the above options fits your current hosting requirements, you may want to check out managed WordPress options by Scala Hosting and A2 Hiosting. They are more affordable and still offer great services.
